Have you tried to delete the TB caches?

Windows Vista
c:\User\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<PROFILE_NAME>\calendar-data

Windows XP
c:\Documents\<USERNAME>\Application 
Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<PROFILE_NAME>\calendar-data

That worked for me.
