I have the same problem.

ClearOS 5.2 SP1 also have Samba 3.5. Samba is critical part of this OS, because some services relies on Samba. There is no way to upgrade. You must delete old and install new version, followed by difficult setting another services to work with new Samba. But, I think Samba is necessary for Openchange only. So, if you prefer Mozilla Thunderbird, you have no problem.
