I think, I'll take the second solution as I want to keep the customize name "annuaire-auf" (sniff ... sniff...).

If for another application you still need the id to be "users", nothing prevents you from duplicating the addressbook id. However it will appear twice in the web interface.
Nothing else to do with this.
