I have it working now. There's one additional step that needs to be taken (could be made implicit in the future SOGo versions, if the devs think so). So, if your colleague is adding an event in a shared calendar, then he needs to add himself manually in the attendees list, and his role will default to being the organizer. So, now you can click on the event and see who created the event. Hope that helps.
