Thank you! This was what I was missing: After clicking "Sharing" and seeing the list of users I didn't realise I need to double click the username to get the ACL info window visibile. I had tried clicking it once (as my mouse indicated the name was a link) but as nothing happened then I thought that the "Subscribe" checkbox was the only setting in this view I could set.
