How I'm using ZEG in kvm:

tar xf ZEG-2.0.0rc2.ova
vmware-vdiskmanager  -r ZEG-2.0.0rc2-disk1.vmdk -t 0 zeg2rc2.vmdk
Now you can boot this converted  image ( zeg2rc2.vmdk ) in KVM
