That's the issue we're facing in our roll-out of SOGo. We have a few users who are on Outlook <2013, who don't want to swap to Thunderbird + SOGo connector. And I really don't want to have to put a full Samba DC on the mail server, but it is required for OpenChange. SOGo works well enough as-is with Thunderbird / Android (CardDAV-Sync and CalDAV-Sync apps) / iPhone / iPad... For the few hold-outs who refuse to ditch Outlook 2007/2010/2013, we're probably going to go with a paid connector.
