Well, to be honest, we have:
CNFieldName = displayName;
IDFieldName = cn;
UIDFieldName = uid;
I'm not sure how standardised this is, but it works very nice, and we
have complete, nicely formatted usernames top right. ("lastname, first
name")

add a "CNFieldName = cn;" to your SOGoUserSources, if cn contains
the complete name of your users.
We have no SOGoMailCustomFromEnabled YES in our SOGo settings.
