Hi All,
Forgive me if this is an answered question, but I saw some time back
some banter between people that a feature like being able to change the
default domain name (eg., domain1.com to domain2.com) in the user's
preferences setup might be useful.
This would be where a person works in a company that has two (or more)
registered domains and the user needs to be 'seen' as coming from
domain2.com instead of domain1.com. They only login to the SOGo web
interface as 'john' or 'david'.
On a customer's server at some point in the setup (can't recall what I
did but it works), the user can select either domain1.com or domain2.com
when compiling an e-mail using the SOGo web interface, but the issue is
the respective user's setup in preferences are greyed out and only work
for the domain1.com - they cannot change this to domain2.com.
I have seen the tech details on modifying the .GNUstepDefaults for
multiple domains based on ldap - do I need to do this given they just
want to change their core sending domain for the specific user - the
user does not belong to multiple domains.
Hoping I hear something but will keep digging for now to see if it was
ever put in as a feature that I have missed over time :-)
