If you have the SOGo Connector add-on installed in Thunderbird (http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/frontends.html) then you can use "File, New, Remote Address Book" to mount the CardDAV URL of your colleague's address book. You will need the WebDAV URL of your colleague's address book, which you can get from within the SOGo web-UI under properties for that address book.
