SOGo is storing the database URL in the database itself. Therefore it is not enough to change sogo.conf. You also have to change the already stored user info in the database, when you change your database server. We prevented that by using a fake databse servername in sogo.conf and added this fake name in /etc/hosts for pointing to the real server. when restoring with sogo-tool, did you first restore all folders and then restore the privileges and other user preferences with "sogo-tool -p "?
