have a look at the SOGo Installation Guide. You can add an additional user source. It doesn't have to be LDAP. Add an KindFieldName and MultipleBookingsFieldName. Then, you can book resources, e.g. conference rooms. I haven't found a possiblity to list resources, but when entering the beginning of the name, they're completed. Which calendar are you using now? When using IMAP mailboxes with many subfolders SOGo 3 is too slow. I assume it's because of the JavaScript displaying the folder tree.
