They usually do. We use Firefox with Ghostery and Adblock Plus as default.
But it was also tested from there private devices (Android and Iphone)
I also tested it with a bare install of just OS and browser.

As soon as they click on the 'new Mail' button a JS error is visible in

To the same effect are reply and forward.
What is particularly strange is, that it only affects 2 users.
