For SOGo v4 you have to change the database schema a bit, but those
changes don't pose a problem, as it only enlarges size of some columns
and add some new ones.
New users should be created in V4 in order to get those additional
columns (that only applies for normal table layout, not the 9 table layout).

But there is a change in how exceptions in event series are handled in
V4, which are not backwards compatible with V2.
In V4 you can invite someone to an exception only, and she/he will not
know there are other instances.
Those will be invalid in V2 and not be displayable.
