All, OK, I Googled the error and it is related to memcahed. I changed the default SOGoMemcachedHost from a file (named pipe?) to 127.0.0.1 "localhost" is not valid either as it can return an IPv6 IP (which is not yet implemented). I no longer get the error, but I still go from 'Welcome' splash screen right back to login screen.
I haven't configured Dovecot yet, so, perhaps that is why. Thanks, everyone!
