You can define identities in Settings -> E-Mail -> IMAP Accounts.
(Sorry, not sure about the correct names, I do have it set up in German
right now).
When sending emails, the sender address is on the top and you can either
choose one of your aliases coming from your user storage or (not tested,
but assumption) enter another email address. This might be rejected from
your SMTP if it is an address it is not available for you (mine does :P
).
