Hi, Depends. If those Solr 8 indices were initially created on Solr 8, then yes - if you keep same schema etc. If the index was initially built on Solr 7, and then you upgraded to Solr 8, then you might not be able to use a backup with solr 9 due to the N-1 back-compat. But just try on a dev/test node and you'll get an answer.
