No answers, only a comment: we switched from DIH to scripts and have 8.11 running without problems, however,
- our collections aren't that big, nor heavily loaded,
- we never had DIH running on 8.11, update scripts were part of the upgrade to 8.11,
- we did a clean re-import into 8.11,
- we run in 12..16GB of JVM memory, on 16..64GB physical RAM.
