Hi everyone, Just a friendly heads-up about some upcoming changes in Solr 9.10 that will affect a few components:
The following will be deprecated in 9.10 and removed in 10.0: * Tika Extraction (local) - Starting with Solr 10, you'll need to use an external Tika Server for document extraction with Solr Cell * Tika language detection - Two alternative language detectors remain available in Solr * XLSX response writer - The CSV response writer is available as an alternative For background and discussion, see the relevant threads on the dev@ list [1] and associated JIRA issues. For XLSX users: If you find value in the XLSX response writer and would like to maintain it as an external Solr package, we're happy to help! Reach out and we can guide you through the process of packaging it for independent distribution. If you're currently using any of these components, now's the time to plan your migration strategy.
