        Not sure this is a SpamAssassin issue for sure?  We went
from 3.5.xx to 3.7.xx to 4.0.1 and haven't seen the same effect.
Are you using Fedora Core 1 or the RHEL version of Ensim Pro?
If you're on RHEL, that could be part of the equation...

        Best places to check on Ensim-specific items like this
would be the Ensim forums and also the www.ev1servers.net Forums
as well, we've got tons of folks dealing with MailScanner/SA 
combo issues in both locations and your solution could be sitting
there waiting for you!  Both should have any patches from Ensim
on anything like this, we haven't received any so far.  But if you
attempt a straight SA modification, you could foul up the Ensim
integration by accident and cause yourself more headaches!  They
didn't do the best with this integration, but it is functional 
when configured properly and certain things have been moved around
compared to the straight SA install that someone would do from
scratch.
