I've seen this error message show up when the line endings in the file aren't the same as the OS's line endings. I'm not sure how you could have improper line endings in the script, but it might be worth looking into. dos2unix and unix2dos are programs that can convert line endings back and forth. > > However, the file is certainly there! > > Uhhhhh, I'm pretty new to Linux - What's wrong here?
