I suspect we're talking at cross purposes. I assumed that Julian's original query was about cases where the text to be rendered in the message is itself an URI, but not the one in the HREF. In other words, we're not talking about cases like | Click <A HREF="http://example.com/page">here</A> much less about <IMG> tags, but only cases like | Please visit <A HREF="http://phisher.com/path/to/page">http://example.com/page</A> where we have a displayed URI different from the actual linked URI.
