I regularly talk to Julian about the reporting and it *is* being used. It just took Julian and the SpamCop folks a bit of time to beat the data into shape.
Agreed, and if you go to the link Carlos provided, you can see a post made by Julian confirming that unsolicited reports DO get processed, despite what was claimed by Wazoo early in the thread.

So the data is definitely used, although less trusted by the system than a registered report.
