Hey guys,
as some of you might already know, TheASF has recently changed its logo
(https://news.apache.org/foundation/entry/introducing-the-asfs-new-logo).
We also need to change our logo and have one that doesn't include the old
Apache feather.
So we've decided that the best way to update our logo is to hold a
contest, the open source way.
The details are on this wiki page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SPAMASSASSIN/SpamAssassin+new+logo+contest
Everybody is welcome to participate (people outside of the direct
SpamAssassin-users
community as well), so it'd be best to follow up with questions on that wiki.
all proposed logos are available at
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SPAMASSASSIN/SpamAssassin+new+logo+contest+entries
please discuss preferences and vote the one you like most, vote is open until
07/11/2025 12:00AM UTC.
As described at
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SPAMASSASSIN/SpamAssassin+new+logo+contest
everyone can vote but PMC will have the final word.
Thanks
Giovanni
After a discussion between PMCs, we came to the conclusion that we need more
time and more logos to decide.
New requirements for our new logo are that we need to avoid elements with
strong association with Native American culture like arrows or shields.
Submissions are opened until 19 December 12:00AM UTC.
https://newlogo.spamassassin.org is still available to accept new logo
proposals.
Thanks
