Wading in here: First, we do certify the IP addresses of MailChimp through which they send only either COI or OI email, so not any of their onboarding or other IP addresses. And we have just now brought this to their attention, having been made aware of the situation this morning by more than one member of this community. (Thank you!)
Second, to clarify, we are *not* an email delivery service, we are an email reputation certification service, and we do provide deliverability (a term which I would remind folks I invented, so when we say it we mean it the way it was intended, not how the now legions of popped-up spam-enabling wet-behind-the-ears anyone-can-call-themselves-a-deliverability-expert "services" (and I use the term lightly) mean it) services to our customers, for example making sure their authentication is set up properly, they have their unsub links in place, and that generally they are doing everything that makes a sender a good Internet citizen. Thirdly, our first mission is, and alway has been, to the receiving community, which is why the IADB (also called the GSL) is, always has been, and always will be free to query, and also why our cost to the senders is low enough that if we have to fire one (and trust us, we do and will) it's an easy decision to make because the hit to revenue just doesn't factor in at all. The buck very much stops here. Anne -- Anne P. Mitchell, Esq.
