Hi!

I currently see many SpamAssassin 4.0.2 timeouts caused by the Redirectors
Plugin.

After I managed to get copies of the affected E-Mails I see a pattern.

They all have Links to https://www.google.com/maps/... which cause a
redirect to https://constent.google.com/ml?continue=... with the same URI
as initially fetched.

This causes a redirection continuation up to the configured limit.

Since google decided to answer pretty slow to these requests you easily
reach Scantimes >3-4 Minutes if the source chose to insert multiple copies
of these maps URIs.

this has been fixed in r1934167 and will be part of Apache SpamAssassin 4.0.3.
When a url redirects to some configured domains, redirection check will be
skipped.
This way loops will be prevented.

And AFAIS the configured cache doesn't handle this scenario very well. At
least not in a fashion speeding things up.

What's the best way to prevent that? The only option I currently see is
clear_url_redirector google.com
and that doesn't look that optimal.

as a workaround I think you can decrease url_redirector_timeout and
max_redir_url_redirections config values.
I saw this wrong behavior few times but mail processing finished quickly in any
case.
I will take a look at it in any case.
