I tried to install one of the ones out there under Linux and I found that it
didn't work properly. I then took a quick look inside the code and it seems
that the person who wrote it used windows slashes in the unix script etc.

After a bit of fooling around I now have a working Pop3 client that uses spamd
directly via a socket connection. It would be fairly trivial to add an SMTP
gateway as well. I am more than happy to release this as some form of freeware
if anyone thought it might be useful to them. Seems silly to maintain this just
for myself if it is just a few classes.
