It depends what you mean by "catch *.gif attachments".  There are already
rules which look for some of these graphics, and it's easy to use the
MIMEHeader plugin to look at MIME part headers.  If you want to look
at the actual binary content of graphics ...  It's also easily doable,
but you'll need to write a plugin.
