Hi, the spamc manpage says under option -e

  Note that there is a very slight chance mail will be lost here,
  because if the fork-and-exec fails there’s no place to put the
  mail message.

under what conditions would such a failure occur?

Is it not possible for spamc to await the successful completion of
the command, and in the case of an error, exit with an error
(EX_UNAVAILABLE) itself (and an appropriate message), so that an MTA
can defer the mail appropriately?
