Well, I don't know who 'we' is but I know the author quite well, no wonder since it's me ;-)

Go ahead an add a new code section to the wiki. (There are versions vor 3.0 and 3.1.x, yours would be for 3.1.3). In any case keep the other code. Testers are always welcome. What would interest me is your results from the plugin.

Further, I don't know why it even uses it's own DNS resolver. It would make much more sense to use SA's and do all this in the background.

I'm just assuming that the original author wasn't aware of it's existence or was too lazy to be bothered to use it.

If my current patch does work I'll look at adding SA's resolver tomorrow instead of it's own.

Well my changes seemed to have worked, it's been running all day without a problem. I looked at changing the code over to use SA's dns resolver but I think that might be over my head at this moment and I don't have quite enough free time to learn it.

Do we know the author ? Should I update the wiki entry ? If I do update the wiki entry, would someone be willing to test it on a different platform first ?

Regards,

Rick
