OMG... as much as despise the scumbags that are suing SpamHaus, moving ICANN to an international organization is about the worst idea possible. The majority of nations are dictatorships (or "defacto" dictatorships, like Venezuela or Russia). They'd not hesitate to abuse this authority in any way possible to make life hard for 1st world democracies (as they try to do via the U.N.) Personally, I don't trust China, Russia (where they, apparently, murder journalist who disagree with the gov't), Venezuela, any African country who changes gov't via coup every few years (which is just about all of them), and ANY Muslim country where those who doesn't worship Allah are persecuted (and this is the majority of them!).
