OK, apologies in advance as this is likely a tired topic.
I'm being "Joe-Jobbed" by some spamming kit that seems to be used fairly widely... or, at least, from a wide range of hosts. I've already implemented SPF using DNS - but I'm still receiving an annoying number of bogus bounce messages.
One thing I've done for my domain is to use a catch-all address... I realise that this isn't ideal, but I really do prefer to keep this configuration as (spammers aside) it perfectly fits my requirements. I'm receiving dozens of bounce messages on spams from sites that don't check SPF - and/or have inadequate anti-spam protection. As I'm also sending mails, I'm manually checking each of these is a bogus bounce - and it is _very_ tedious.
It strikes me that I only care about bounce messages which relate to messages sent by my mail-server... and, in principle, it should be possible to automatically determine if a bounce message quotes part of a message that originated from my smtp server... and give all others a huge score to send them straight to my spam-can.
Are there any existing plug-ins for Spamassassin which address this kind of problem?
Steve
