I 'think', as long as you are using bayes, might was well use sql awl.
(with sql awl, you can modify the table with a default (createtime())'
type field and expire it yourself.

Using MySQL for AWL is on my todo list -- I'll keep your createtime
suggestion in mind when I get that done.
