Hrm. Sorry, I forgot that SLES is RPM-based as well.

I've been doing this successfully with Fedora, but I've never played 
with SLES. Perhaps you should stop taking my advice... :)

All of that sounds like fundamental incompatibilities. Perhaps the 
tarball-to-RPM stuff in the SA tarball won't work on SLES.
