Worms and spam have made it impossible for users to use their own personal mail servers. We block any outgoing mail on any managed firewall on port 25 other than authorized ESMTP servers. More and more ISP's are blocking port 25 from anything but their own stuff, especially dial-up. Laptop users should use an ISP that allows him to use their servers or his own, then use a mail provider that support SMTP AUTH. -- Robert
