Good observation!  There is a lot of history between mit.edu and
gnu.org and there might be some legacy connection there.  I don't
think so in this case but it might.  As far as I can see by looking at
the archives there isn't any valid mail coming through that path.  So
if there is then it has probably become forgotten and unmaintained and
now only used by spammers.

Good idea.  I will check it out.  If there is a valid path there then
including it into the trusted networks is the right thing to do.  But
since it seems to be nothing but a spam path I would rather cut the
path off instead.

Yes.  That thought hadn't occurred to me.  But I am just reading it
now and so it won't actually help me until I can do something about
