greetings,
with 3.2.5 i can't get custom scores working.
i usually added them in /etc/mail/spamassassin/x_90_scores.cf
This is NOT how you add custom scores to SA.
... And, why not? I used extra .cf files in /etc/mail/spamassassin for
both custom score changes and local rules for a *long* time with no
trouble. (SA ~~2.3x across numerous systems and rebuilds of same -
personal and work, through until I got around to setting up a channel
for distributing local rules with 3.2.5.) A few things *still* get put
in a separate .cf file there.
but that won't work anymore so i added them at the bottom of
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
I have lots of custome scores in my local.cf file. Are you sure that is
the proper location of your local.cf file?
That's a typical location for packaged SA site config on RH(EL) and its
descendents and relatives (CentOS etc, Fedora Core, SuSE - probably most
rpm-based distros). SA's debug output is the canonical reference for
any given system, though.
Mine is in /usr/local/etc/mail/spamassassin for example.
That's usually only for a standard build-from-source install - works
just find for some (obviously), but Not An Option for others for various
reasons.
