Hello,

I'm currently facing the following problem with SpamAssassin (version 3.0, I
think, but not sure):

I configured SpamAssassin to mark spam mails by adding the string "SPAM..." to
the beginning of the original mail subject.

So far, this works well. Users can now configure a sorting rule for their mail
clients and decide how to handle spam-tagged messages.

However some users are requiring to get their messages untouched in any case.
These are Blackberry users which are using the mail account for their phones
(these phones are sending internal commands to other phones by e-mail - and a
modified e-mail header leads to serious malfunctions).

In order to not tag such mails as spam, I set up an e-mail alias that can be
used by them. For example, we have one mail account using two addresses:
pe...@domain.tld and bbpe...@domain.tld - the last one is the Blackberry alias.

Now in local.cf configuration file of SpamAssassin, I added this line

all_spam_to bbpe...@domain.tld bbchar...@otherdomain.tld

Although this is set up, people are still reporting that they sometimes receive
mails tagged with "SPAM..." subject.

But according SpamAssassin's documentation, this is the only way to manage this.

What have I missed to do ? Are there additional steps required ?

Do I have to create a separate e-mail account (own username/password pair) and
use the addresses of this account for all_spam_to ?

Unfortunately I'm not able to get a complete header of such a mail by them to
analyze this (seems that they also just have access to the "visible" part of
these mails). I have to rely upon what they say.

Maybe you have an idea about ?
