Yes, good points, but I'm really using it for other reasons:

  - I'd like to simply check if a URL I found is already listed in my
own (users) email
  - Determine if it is still marked, after having been marked at one
point in the past already

I have a local DNSBL implementation that I've created for our users,
and would like to scan it periodically to determine if entries are
already on black/block lists so I can remove them from mine to avoid
duplication. I'd also like to use it to avoid adding entries to my
list when they're already listed on the public sites like surbl,
hostkarma, and uribl at scan-time to avoid adding them in the first
place.

Whether it's ham or not is kind of a different issue, and will be
determined later on, when the email is actually processed.
