you are correct about that, but doing so is just a fix for much bigger problem of not geting rules updates at all

The answer is set the rule to 0 and like restart whatever daemons you
are using that load the rules up.  The glue involved could mean that
restarting spamd is ineffectual.

I'm not saying they shouldn't upgrade but this Q&A gets derailed a lot
with statements about specific distros and EOL, etc. when it's a basic
function of SA that exists in all the versions.

its a precompiled problem to use precompiled software, atleast AXB agree with me :=)
