Hi Fei,

this sounds like a very interesting project.

I mostly use data produced directly by the machine so unfortunately I don't 
have quite as much experience in the field of sensors.
However, I performed some experimental set ups were I added the following 
sensors:
* Bosch XDK 
* NETIO Power Sensors [1] 

For NETIO we have a direct integration into StreamPipes. 
I also know some people who added sensors via a Arduino board to collect data, 
but I am not sure if this is suitable for a manufacturing environment.

It would be very cool if we could suggest a set of sensors on the StreamPipes 
Homepage as a plug-and-play retrofit solution.
If you have any experience or suggestions you can write them here so we can add 
them.
