Yes, I have messaged the official Slack and they told me it would have to run on a real GraalVM environment as you said, which means I will have to switch back to something like jython.

Hi Frederico,
the JS library runs on a standard JDK installation. I think that your pipeline elements would need to run in a real GraalVM environment to support Python along with the graalvm.sdk in your dependencies (although I have not yet looked deeper into GraalVM).
