Hi Michele, that’s correct, all rel/* branches are updated to the next patch version before the release in case we decide to do a patch update. The released artifacts have a release/* tag, e.g., release/0.69.0 – these are the same files that you get when using the official download link.
Please note that the docker-compose file in the root directory differs from the ones in the installer directory as they do not have any volume persistence (we use these primarily for release testing). Regarding the extensions build, just build the whole project from the root dir, this will also build all projects under the extensions directory. Please ask if you have any questions!
