I've used the Palette component in Safari a lot, although never with
Tap4.1, if that's what you are using. Palete in Tap4.0 has never had
any problems for me in Safari.  How does "doesn't work' manifest
itself in your app?  If you are in tap4.1, all bets are off, as dojo's
support for Safari is pretty hit or miss.  When Tapestry went with
dojo as its ultimate javascript solution, it effectively wrote off
Safari support (as well as most alternatives to IE and FF).  For a
while, I seemed to be the only active Safari user on the dojo mailing
list, so even when I provided patches to bugs, it took many months to
get them integrated since there was no one with commit privileges to
validate them.  I eventually abandoned Safari as a platform, since I
was using dojo with tap 4.0 and I got sick of chasing down
incompatibility problems and maintaining my own branch of the dojo
source code.
