does it make sense at all to support portals? Does
people still use and develop portals?

I mean that with the AJAX proliferation it looks like 
"Clientlets" make much more sense than Portlets and
therefore Portals in a sense of JSR-168 are headed to
oblivion.

What is the peoples' experience and opinion?
