I'm on IDEA 7 and have no problems at all with this stuff. I can't remember doing any special configuration, beyond adding "*.tml" as an XML file (in the File Types view of the preferences panel).
Hm. Actually, I do see one intention error, "URI is not registerred". Used the intention ... ok, now I'm getting the error "cannot find declaration of not element html".
