Just the doctype is needed, I guess. This is expected by the way XML works.
By the way, calling it a border looks like people who have developed
with T4 in the past. :)

That book was written when Tapestry was still in its 5.0.x (with a low
x) version, so pay attention because some things have changed to more
recent versions. As far as I remember, the book was written before
Tapestry had builtin AJAX support, for example.
