Hi Ronald That's really weird. I've tried to reproduce your error with no luck. I used tapestry 5.2.4 quickstart to create a new project, I added the tapestry-resteasy-0.2.1 dependency to the pom, I created the package ".rest" and finally coded a simple test service. Everything went fine.
Are you adding any other dependency to the pom.xml? Could your local copy of tapestry-resteasy-0.2.1 be corrupted? Alejandro.
