Hi Alex, I use maven and gradle (altough prefer gradle). I use eclipse with no maven plugins because they have been pain in the the past.
I just generate the eclipse project and classpath files with mvn eclipse:eclipse or gradle eclipse. It works fine for me, although I don't ever use debugging, so IDK if how deep can you debug your code with this setup.
