That's odd about the POM; you are correct, but I had made changes to ensure that the POM had the <repository> in place.
I've also had trouble with even the lastest tapestry-yuicompressor; I'm concerned that it has a conflict with the Rhino built into JDK 1.7. It's frustrating; the YUICompressor people should have re-packaged all of Rhino in a new package name, much like Tapestry (and everyone else) does with ASM.
